Some amazing photos of the Queenstown area blanketed in snow looking like a winter wonderland have been captured after it received a dumping earlier today.

Pictures taken by Otago Daily Times reporters and provided by Coronet Peak and The Remarkables skifields show off the resort town after it got a chilly autumn blast today.

A front brought snow to ground level in some areas.

If you have any pictures of the snow today send them to odt.online@odt.co.nz with when, where and who took it to get them featured in our slideshow.
