The completion was reported to the Vincent Community Board at its meeting this week.
A report by council property officer Tara Bates said that in September last year, the board approved an overspend of $100,000 based on a cost estimate for the upgrade of the changing rooms to meet standards for domestic cricket.
Construction included an extension of two changing rooms, new lighting, new bathroom fittings and general painting, flooring and tidying.
Construction started in September but asbestos sheeting on the changing room ceilings was discovered during demolition.
The asbestos removal and remedial work delayed the construction by about two weeks.
The total cost of the project was $176,000, $76,000 over the original cost estimate.
The project was funded from the building's investment account via accumulated depreciation.
