Punters who have bought tickets to some of this year's big name concerts at Forsyth Barr worry they might have spent hundreds of dollars on a scam.
There have already been issues with tickets bought through controversial ticket resale market website Viagogo this year for concerts at the stadium this year.
Some people who had bought tickets to Robbie Williams concert through the website found their tickets were not valid when they tried to enter the stadium last Saturday night.
Many of the invalid tickets had the same person's name on them and had been purchased for hundreds of dollars above their original price.
Tickets to the three Ed Sheeran concerts at the stadium, as well as Pink and Shania Twain later this year, are being resold through the Viagogo ticket reselling website.
People who have already bought tickets to those shows through Viagogo have expressed concern they might also be part of a swindle.
Stacey Wilson, of Kaitangata, is concerned her tickets to one of Ed Sheeran's concerts could turn out to be dodgy as well.
Ms Wilson said she had no choice but wait until the night of the concert to check whether the tickets were valid or not.
But she would not be using Viagogo again.
''I would hate to get there and not be able to get in. I would have two very disappointed kids.''
Dunedin Venues Management Ltd (DVML) marketing and communications manager Kim Barnes said at the moment there was little venues or concert promoters could do to stop their tickets being resold through the website or check the validity of resold tickets.
Ms Barnes said she understood there would be some concern from people who had already purchased tickets but the only advice should could give them was in future to purchase tickets only through the official seller.
The Swiss-based company is being investigated by the Commerce Commission.
Viagogo did not respond to a request for comment.
