Some of the 120 walkers and runners to enter the first Run the Runway event make their way down the tarmac at Dunedin Airport yesterday morning.

Simon Bechmann (16), an exchange student from Denmark, took first place in a time of 15 minutes and 14 seconds.
Nick Casey (12) rests on the tarmac after finishing the run in a time of 19 minutes and 59 seconds.
