Theatre members will unscrew and unpin the London St theatre's 60 seats tomorrow to make way for the Regent seats they received last month.
Executive committee member Roslyn Nijenhuis said their removal had become urgent as the Regent seats were being kept in a workshop in which a set had to be built for the upcoming play The Real Inspector Hound.
She believed the working bee to remove the old seats would provide an opportunity for those interested in the theatre to visit and get to know committee members.
Members of the public were welcome at the theatre from 2pm.
