Dexter Dunn provided the star turn at Winton yesterday when he drove five winners, including Mossdale Allan, who ran the fastest time of 1.54.6 on the 10-race card of mile races.
Dunn is again showing out by a wide margin at the top of the premiership table with 34 wins.
His nearest rival is David Butcher with 20 wins.
His five wins is one short of his personal best of six from eight drives at Forbury Park in July last year.
Mossdale Allan was within 0.5sec of the track record of 1.54.1 set by Nuclear Byrd in December 2003.
The 5yr-old was having his second start for trainers Graeme Anderson and Amber Hoffman.
Mossdale Allan had one previous win in January last year from 18 starts when trained by Tony Barron for Waipounamu breeder Archie Affleck.
On Leave, the dam of Mossdale Allan, ran a mile in 1.57.2 at Winton in 1995.
Her three wins were over that distance and the Majestic Chance-On Patrol mare was the first pacer to better 2.00 on the Gore track with a 1.58.7 time in 1994 at her second start.
Another of her progeny, Mossdale Gambit, has taken a record 1.54.2 in the United States.
• Mr Feelgood won over 1660m (mobile) in a 1.52.9 mile rate at Albion Park on Saturday night.
He won by a neck from Blacks A Fake.
His mile rate was 0.8sec outside the track record he set on June 26.
