Raglan has form on the board this season for the Hannon Memorial free-for-all at Oamaru tomorrow.

He won fresh up at Addington last month, stalling off stablemate Stunin Cullen.

He followed up with a third to Stunin Cullen and Monkey King in the New Brighton Cup ffa at Addington eight days ago.

Stunin Cullen and Monkey King are not engaged tomorrow.

Bondy and Georgetown are sound chances after good efforts fresh up in the New Brighton Cup.

Bondy ran fourth after a rare tangle at the start.

He won the Hannon last year.

Georgetown ran fifth last week when disappointed for a run in the closing stages.

Yokozuna has been scratched following treatment for boils.

Springbank Richard (race 9) and Franco Emirate (race 8) are expected to resume on winning notes.

Springbank Richard was impressive winning a trial at Forbury Park on September 13.

He won four races including the Dominion Handicap, Ordeal Cup, Banks Peninsula Cup and Trotters' Mile at Ashburton last spring. Franco Emirate, unbeaten in six starts, won a work-out at Rangiora last Saturday.

Neither horse has raced since May.

Siena Franco, the 3yr-old who won the race for fillies and mares at Forbury Park last night, is owned by Riccarton thoroughbred trainer Terri Rae, her partner, Matt Shepherd, Palmerston North jockey Jonathan Riddell and his partner, Trina Marshall, Rangiora harness trainer Andrew Stuart and his partner, Becky Sutorius.

Stuart also won last night with Let's Go Cullen and Partyboysimon.

It was the second time he has won three races on a programme.

Barberino is headed to the Foxton stable of Peter Scaife after being claimed for $6000 last night.

Barberino was claimed by Rumeko Yano, of Morrinsville.

He claimed Shades of Success at Forbury Park in July.

A client of the Scaife stable also claimed Chas Luney for $3500 at Auckland last night.

Scaife will be the 13th trainer of Chas Luney, the winner of 16 races from 133 starts.

Mick Ison (three wins), Polish (a winner from four starts) and the maiden pacer The Artisan have been sold to Australia through Christchurch bloodstock agent Paul Davies.

Peter Rennell, who had a long involvement with the sale of standardbreds, died in Christchurch on Monday.

His early employment was in the registration department of the New Zealand Trotting Conference (now Harness Racing New Zealand).

He became the standardbred representative for National Mortgage and Agency Ltd.

He compiled catalogues for the national yearling sale.

"He was a great man for detail and had a great knowledge," Davies said.

Mr Rennell was later representative for Paramatta Livestock in New Zealand and organised auction sales.

His son, Edward Rennell, is chief executive officer of the HRNZ.

Coup Align and Eel Win, members of the Michael Pitman stable, begin their Victoria campaigns at Caulfield tomorrow.

"Coup Align has done really well but he has drawn 13.

Eel Win has also done well although I think there is improvement in him," Pitman said.

Craig Williams has the mount on Coup Align in an open 1000m.

Steven King is aboard Eel Win over 1400m.

Pitman returned to Christchurch on Wednesday and his wife, Diane, is caring for Coup Align and Eel Win.

The stable won with Remembrance at Motukarara yesterday.

Three jockeys were suspended at Motukarara yesterday.

Jamie Bullard was suspended for four riding days, until October 7 inclusive, for allowing Grand Rapids to shift in at the 200m in race 4.

He admitted doing so.

Robert Hannam defended a careless riding charge arising from his ride on Kincaple Princess in race 8.

He was found to have shifted out at the 350m, checking Reuben.

Hannam is suspended for four days, until October 2 inclusive.

KC Walters, the rider of Our Nite Flight in race 9, admitted shifting in at the 300m, checking Wellsey.

He is suspended until October 10 inclusive, three riding days.

Outstanding sprinter Hay List cruised to an easy win in the Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley last night, beating True Persuasion and Eagle Falls.

It was his 11th win from 13 starts.
