Submissions sought on development

Gibbston Valley Station's proposed development, which would see the station erect a Vintner's Village, visitor and residential accommodation, totalling 104 units, is now out for public notification.

Gibbston Valley Station Ltd has applied for land use consent for its proposed development, comprising 92 units of visitor accommodation, 22 residential units, a spa, service and maintenance area, an equestrian facility, walking trails, an 18-hole golf course and a Vintner's Village.

The village would include amenities like a cellar door, a farmers' market, a cafe, artisans' workshops, the golf clubhouse and an information centre.

Consent was sought for all buildings and structures and all physical activities.

Gibbston Valley Station Ltd is seeking a 15-year "lapsing period" within which to exercise the resource consent, should it be granted.

Submissions on the application close on August 6.
