A burglar was found inside a commercial premises in Dunedin early this morning.
Senior Sergeant Ben Butterfield, of Dunedin, said a man was found in a commercial premises at Castle St at 1.30am.
The man was "confronted" by a person.
The man pushed the "victim" and ran away.
A police dog handler was deployed but could not find the man.
The man was aged in his mid 20s, about 178cm, with dark hair and was wearing a light coloured jacket and pants.
Also in Dunedin last night a station wagon was stolen.
Snr Sgt Ben Butterfield, of Dunedin, said the red Subaru was stolen from Stevenson Rd in Concord between 11.30pm and midnight.
The stationwagon was a 1995 model, he said.
