Scoring tries is a bonus.
And it certainly was a bonus for Highlanders hooker Liam Coltman on Saturday night.
He was certainly the happy hooker just after halftime when he got over the tryline to dot down.
The five-pointer, which came just after Waratahs lock Dean Mumm had been yellow-carded for a tip tackle on Elliot Dixon, was the first try Coltman has scored for the Highlanders, in his fifth season with the franchise.
The bearded one has come close plenty of times but generally leaves the flashy work for those out the back. He is more of a hard-working, grafting forward.
But the points finally came his way on Saturday night.
The ball went to the middle of the lineout and Coltman attached to the back of the driving maul which slowly edged its way across the line. He then simply had to drop down on to the ground and score the try.
Coltman (27) was playing in his 68th game for the Highlanders after making his debut in 2013.
He has played 64 games for Otago and has a slightly better strike rate in the blue and gold jersey, having scored three tries for the Otago side.
Coltman had a smile a mile wide straight after the try and continued to play well, before he was replaced by co-captain Ash Dixon with about a quarter of the match left.
