Otago Polytechnic graduates Roxanna Zamani and Sophie Hardy have stunned the fashion world again - this time in Australia.

After showing their collections at the prestigious Mittelmoda Fashion Awards in Italy, they won two of the three sections in the FashionTV Oceania Online Designer Awards this week.

The wins will enable their collections to be aired on Foxtel and Sky over a three-month period.

Miss Zamani won the evening wear section with "Incongruous", along with the overall prize, which gained her entry to the Perth Fashion Festival in September.

Her collection was touted as being "conceptual and beautifully crafted".

Miss Hardy won the lifestyle section with "Possession Obsession", which the judges believed was unique, with "wonderful colours and beautiful textures".

Both will have a "look book" photo shoot in Melbourne as part of their prize packages which FashionTV will broadcast on Foxtel and Sky.

Otago Polytechnic School of Fashion academic leader Margo Barton said the wins were "incredible".

She was "speechless" about the pair's success and applauded their designs as featuring quality work, "innovative design and attention to detail".

They both had their first professional shows during iD Dunedin Fashion Week earlier this year, and competed in the iD Emerging Designer Awards.

This month, they showed the same collections at Mittelmoda, where Miss Zamani won the bridal-wear section and both caught the eye of international fashion companies.
