On Tuesday, police executed a search warrant at a Wanaka property and found various illegal drugs, including cocaine.
At a Wanaka Community Board meeting last week, Senior Constable Aaron Nicholson said police encouraged anybody who knew anything about drugs being sold in Wanaka to contact the police.
Police might not act immediately on information they were given, but were working hard to catch the people involved in the selling of illegal substances in the town.
"Any information people had about suspicious behaviour is valuable," he said.
Detective Senior Sergeant Malcolm Inglis, of Queenstown, said Otago Lakes Central police executed a search warrant in relation to drugs at a home in the Mt Iron area of Wanaka.
Cocaine, cannabis and cannabis plants, ecstasy (MDMA) and LSD were all found.
People at the property had been spoken to by police and charges were likely to follow, Det Snr Sgt Inglis said.
The exact amount of drugs found was still being calculated.
In November, another Wanaka property was searched by police as part of an operation targeting the supply of methamphetamine and distribution of cannabis in Central Otago and the Queenstown Lakes District.
The two cases were not related.
Police would continue to target the harm drugs were doing to the community, Det Snr Sgt Inglis said.
