Trainer Graeme Anderson reached his best winning tally for a season when he won with Yokozuna and Swift Caesar at Forbury Park last night.

Anderson and his first season training partner Amber Hoffman, have won 18 races this season.

Anderson has held a trainers' licence since the 1988-89 season with a previous best tally of 16 wins in 1990-91.

He was then based at Rimu. He has been at Westwood Beach for about five years. He also trains thoroughbreds with Hoffman.

The 7yr-old Yokozuna has recorded five wins and a second in seven starts since he began racing two months ago.

Swift Caesar, owned by Wayne McEwan and Wayne McCallum, of Ryal Bush, was having his second start for the stable after transferring from Ken Barron a month ago.

• Trainer Laurence Hanrahan won with the two horses he had engaged last night - Fiery Del and Isinbayeva.

The 3yr-old Fiery Del, who has won two of his three starts, will have an easy time for a few weeks.

"He is just a bit weak and I will continue to be patient with him," Hanrahan said. "He is a rangy type like his dam [Jaclyn Del]."

Hanrahan qualified Fiery Del last September but he did not race him until June 7.

• Fivestar Blue Jean was claimed last night for $3000 by Roxburgh trainer Geoff Knight on behalf of Lindsay Miller, of Alexandra.

• Partyboysimon was disqualified from fourth in the claiming race.

Terry Chmiel was fined $225 for excessive use of the whip on Candlestick, who finished fourth in race 2.

Mark Jones was fined $300 for careless driving on Jayee's Magic, who was relegated from third to last. Jones was found to have tightened Lady Gaga on the first bend, causing her to tangle.

Robin Swain was fined $250 for excessive use of the whip on Shapiro in race 10.

• Kahdon, last start winner of the Victoria Trotting Oaks, has her next start in a heat of the Victoria Trotting Derby at Ballarat on July 3. That will be a lead-up to the final on July 18. Trainer Mark Jones has Kahdon stabled with Craig Demmler at Bacchus Marsh.
