Organiser Kate Mossman said the event attracted about 650 people, a huge increase on last year’s 200.
Exactly how much money was raised was not known yesterday.
Money raised would go towards paying the sports fees of financially disadvantaged children in North Otago or for their sports gear.
Mrs Mossman said there was no winner in the fun race, but people who felt extra fit ran the course two or three times.
