A 21-year-old man was flown to Dunedin Hospital yesterday with serious head injuries after a motocross accident in Balclutha.
Helicopters Otago advanced flight paramedic Doug Flett said the man had been riding a motorcycle on a motocross track and was attempting a jump when he fell off the bike and sustained a serious head injury.
The man was taken by ambulance from the motocross track to Clutha Health First in Balclutha, where he was transported by rescue helicopter to Dunedin Hospital.
