Architecture and art are creatively mixed together at Albert Town over Easter weekend.

Wanaka-based architectural designer Gary Todd is hosting an exhibition of 12 local artists, which includes a work from sculptor Deane Weastell.

Mr Todd said the exhibition of work in his Albert Town house - which he designed - showed the artists' work in a contemporary setting.

"It gives people a better idea of how art can feature inside a home, as opposed to viewing it within a gallery setting," Mr Todd said.

The exhibition, at 62 Lagoon Ave, would be open 1pm to 5pm until Monday, Mr Todd said.

Art lovers are spoilt for choice in Wanaka over Easter weekend.

The Wanaka Arts Society's annual Easter exhibition opened yesterday at the Lake Wanaka Centre and will show art from the society's members until 2.30pm on Monday.

Wanaka art-space Gallery 33 on Helwick St has an exhibition featuring contemporary New Zealand artists, including Michael Smither, Michel Tuffery and sculptor Bing Dawe, until April 23.

Two mobile trailers at Pembroke Park will be the gallery for the Real Art Roadshow, which will be open to the public between 11am and 5pm until Monday.
