Ms Nathan (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Hauā, Ngāti Maru) is the first Māori designer to open New Zealand Fashion Week in its 20-year history.

Ms Nathan’s creations are known for weaving traditional fabrics such as harakeke with contemporary designs.
