The red ute was locked and parked in the short driveway of her home on Chapman St behind a closed gate and about 12m from the house.
It was taken overnight on Sunday last week, sometime between when she last saw it at 10pm and about 5.30am the next day when her partner noticed it was gone.
Police responded and told her they thought it was a targeted theft.
Murray thought the ute was quite rare and would have held its value since she bought it about six years ago for about $12,000.
She believed there would have been two or more culprits who broke into it and quietly pushed it out of the driveway because if the engine was started it would have woken her up.
While grateful the car was insured, she said it was a blow to have it stolen as she was two weeks into a six-week recovery period after major surgery.
“It was bad luck all around,” she said.
Murray wants people to look out for the vehicle and report any sightings to police.
At the time of the theft, its licence plate was LBP358.
