A motorist who crashed into another vehicle, injuring several people in Christchurch on Sunday night, is on the run from police.
Police spotted the driver in a vehicle of interest on Marshland Rd in Shirley about 9.25pm.
They did not pursue the vehicle but it was found a short time later after crashing at the intersection of Hills Rd and Akaroa St.

The male driver and a female passenger ran from the scene of the crash, in which three people were moderately injured and taken to Christchurch Hospital.
Police were still looking for the driver on Monday.
However, a 20-year-old woman has been arrested and is due to appear at the Christchurch District Court on Friday.
