Dive squad to help with search for missing diver in Akaroa Harbour

The search for a diver reported missing in Akaroa Harbour will continue this morning when the police dive squad is deployed.

The diver was reported overdue about 1pm on Wednesday in an area of Akaroa Harbour south of the township, police said.

The dive squad is expected to join the search about 10am today.

A police spokeswoman said officers were searching the shore on Wednesday.
