Trust ‘blown away’ by $8000 donation

The club raised the money from a 24-Hour Farm Bike Challenge near Gore.

Mrs Topp said the challenge was held on the club’s track on the couple’s 35ha property in Waimumu in December.

The club members were like family and many of them lived and worked in rural areas and the trust would use the money to support rural communities in Southland.

"It has been such a tough year," Mrs Topp said.

Dr Wouda said being the fundraising recipient of a wonderful event was amazing.

"We were blown away by their generosity."
