Southerners are among the finalists in the 2024 Beef + Lamb New Zealand Awards.
The three Rural Champion Award category finalists includes Harriet Bremner-Pinckney and Carlos Bagrie and Nadia Lim, of Royalburn Station in Arrowtown.
Mrs Bremner-Pinckney, who lives on Jericho Station in Fiordland, is an author, speaker and advocate for health and safety on farms.
She was "completely blown away" by being named a finalist.
Being a finalist in the same category as the New Zealand Farm Environment Trust and Royalburn Station was humbling, she said.
"I’m super excited to go to the awards, meet a whole lot of new people and celebrate what is happening in the industry."
Mr Bagrie said he and his wife were "really stoked and humbled" to be considered for the award.
"It’s a huge accolade and provides further motivation for our entire team to keep pushing boundaries."
Their television show Nadia’s Farm had given them an opportunity to voice and highlight the realities of farming, he said.
"Our goal has been to illustrate the true ups and downs of farming to a predominantly urban audience.
"With authenticity and a little humour, hopefully we’ve taken them along on our journey of learning."
The award winners will be announced at a ceremony in Hamilton on October 10.
