Serious injuries have been indicated from a crash near Hurunui.
Police said emergency services were responding to the two-vehicle crash, on Mouse Point Rd, near Hanmer Springs Rd.
It was reported just after 4.20pm and they said initial indications were that there were serious injuries.
The road was closed and motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
