Three killed after horror crash involving truck and car in Canterbury

    Three people have died after a horror crash involving a truck and car in North Canterbury.

    Police confirmed three people have died following the crash in the Waimakariri district on Sunday night.

    The triple fatal crash happened on South Eyre Rd, about 40km north-west of Christchurch.

    Another person was seriously injured.

    Police say they were notified about the crash, involving a truck and car at the intersection of South Eyre and Burnt Hill Rds, at 6.35pm yesterday.

    An investigation into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, said a police spokesperson.
