In the midst of the first national lockdown last year, Sumner friends and longtime residents, Neil Whithear and Chris Beer, created a short video reminding people about lockdown rules.
"The inspiration for the video came firstly, from boredom and secondly, due to the snarky people and "Karens" on our local community Facebook page," said Whithear.
"It was just about having some fun and joking around."
The "Corona Cops" say no to enthusiastic divers, fishermen and surfers.
Whithear and Beer each filmed their own sections of the film while staying in their own bubbles.
Whithear's wife, Kate then edited it all together, including a nifty scene where both men appear to high five.
Whithear said his favourite scene was the one where they were "getting stuck into surfers."
"We are all surfers here, Sumner is a surfing community and we would all love to be out surfing the waves, but unfortunately the rules say no," he said.
In the video, one of the "Corona Cops" spots a man out surfing and then proceeds to chase him out of the water.
The video was re-shared today on the Sumner Community Facebook page.
Whithear said, "depending on how long Cindy keeps us in lockdown," the Corona cops may be called up again for another video.
"There may be some funny calling out of the Wallabies and Australia for this one," he said.
But for today, Whithear and his family are choosing to just relax and enjoy the sunshine, obeying the Corona cop's rules.
