Crowded House will play in Christchurch next year as part of a New Zealand tour announced today.

The band behind such hits as Don't Dream It's Over, Better Be Home Soon and Weather With You will play to fans at Christchurch Arena in Addington during their 10-stop March tour.

Promoter Live Nation said the band had also released their first new music in more than a decade with the single “Whatever You Want”.

The tour and new music feature founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour along with producer and keyboardist Mitchell Froom, guitarist and singer Liam Finn and drummer Elroy Finn.

Founding member Neil Finn said they were thrilled to be touring the country.
