A pedestrian has been seriously injured when they were hit by a car in Christchurch.
A police spokeswoman said the crash happened at the intersection of Morrison Ave and Sawyers Arms Rd, Northcote, about 3pm on Wednesday.
St John New Zealand spokesman Gerard Campbell said one person was taken to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries.
