A person has been flown to Christchurch Hospital after suffering a medical emergency in Arrowtown.
A spokeswoman for Hato Hone St John said the ambulance service was alerted about 11am today and treated one person in a critical condition.
Two ambulances and a helicopter was sent to the scene.
The patient was then flown to hospital for further treatment.
