Unexplained death of infant investigated

    The unexplained death of an infant in North Canterbury is being investigated by police.

    A police spokesperson said the death on Monday morning is being treated as unexplained.

    “Police are working to determine the circumstances.”

    A large police presence was seen at the time on Transport Lane in Oxford, a neighbour told chrislynchmedia.com.

    A post mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday.
