Twenty-two members of the Selwyn Singing Stars took the stage while filming took place at Rolleston School.
They performed Revolting Children from Matilda the musical.
Teacher Jacqueline Soper says watching her music students on stage was a proud moment.
“There are no words to describe how absolutely fabulous the kids were. I am so proud of them. I actually thought my heart was going to burst.
Ms Soper said the group did extremely well and ‘smashed it” on live TV.
