The Diamond Jubilee Clock Tower in central Christchurch is keeping time again after extensive restoration and conservation work.
The city council says the successful project's completion is a credit to the team who worked on the Victoria St tower.
They repaired and repainted the wrought iron detail and the gold surfaces were stripped and re-gilded.
Specialist repairs were made to the clock roundels and weather-proofing membranes were applied to the tower surfaces to protect them.
