A police spokeswoman said a disqualified driver failed to stop for officers on Pages Rd in Aranui about 4am.
The driver crashed a short time later on Wainoni Rd and one of the occupants left the vehicle but was found a short time later.
"There appear to be no injuries sustained by either occupant," said the spokeswoman.
A person was taken into custody and will be charged with disqualified driving and other driving charges.
In a another incident about 3am, a person of interest was located at the intersection of Cumberland and Avalon Sts in Richmond.
The vehicle failed to stop and the pursuit was abandoned soon after due to the driving conditions.
One person was arrested for breaching their bail conditions a short time later.
Then about 9.20am a vehicle was seen speeding through the intersection of Halswell Junction and Springs Rds, a police spokesperson said.
The pursuit was called off and the vehicle was found to be stolen a short time later.
