Seriously-injured driver cut from vehicle after McLeans Island crash

A seriously-injured motorist was cut from their vehicle after a single car-crash in Christchurch this morning.

A police spokesperson said the car went off the road on Conservators Rd in McLeans Island about 7.30am on Thursday.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said two fire crews from Harewood and Wigram stations were at the scene and cut one person from the car.

A St John spokesman said the injured person has been taken to Christchurch Hospital by ambulance.

Police were also at the scene, along with a St John rapid response vehicle.
