Power cut hits Christchurch

    More than 370 properties were affected by a power outage in Christchurch on Tuesday morning.

    Power went out at 379 homes and businesses in the Cashmere and Mt Pleasant areas about 5.50am.

    The outage lasted about two hours and power was fully restored by 8.04am.

    Orion said the outage was caused by a cable fault.

    Power was out in Danny S Ln, Dyers Pass Rd, Hackthorne Rd, Halcyon Way, Kidson Tr, Kiteroa Pl, Longhurst Tr, Macmillan Av, Overdale Dr, Pentre Tr, Shalamar Dr, Summit Rd, Takahe Dr, Tarata Rise, Victoria Park Rd, Westenra Tr, Whareora Tr and Whisby Rd.
