Police are searching for the youths who robbed a person trying to sell a phone in Christchurch over the weekend.
The victim was selling the phone on Facebook Marketplace.
The youths stole two phones during the incident in Aidanfield about 8.40pm on Saturday.
The offenders then left the scene in a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was later found by police abandoned on Aorangi Rd about 9.30pm.
Canterbury District Prevention Manager Inspector Ash Tabb has previously told chrislynchmedia.com police had seen an increase in incidents, including robberies, assaults, and scams, linked to Facebook Marketplace exchanges.
In the last year, they had investigated over a dozen such events, chrislynchmedia.com reported.
"In at least eight of these cases, there were robberies, and three involved very serious assaults," Tabb said.
Meanwhile, police responded to a burglary at a vape store on Lincoln Rd, Addington, about 5.30am on Sunday.
The offenders smashed a window and then stole several items before fleeing the scene.
