Police car hits parked vehicles

An unmarked police car crashed into three parked vehicles in Christchurch on Friday.

No one was injured in the incident that happened about 10am on Cranford St, said a police spokeswoman.

She said inquiries were "ongoing".

Cranford Street Garage employee Sati Gilbertson said the driver of one of vehicles that was hit was in the shop when the accident happened.

"A guy here ran over because his car was hit. But they (police) wouldn't tell him what the cause of the crash was."

St John spokesman Gerard Campbell said staff attended but the injuries were minor and no one was taken to hospital.
