One dead after SH1 crash

    2. Christchurch

    A person has died following a crash on State Highway 1/Rakaia Highway on Thursday night.

    The two-vehicle crash was reported to police about 7:20pm.

    One person died at the scene, another person has received serious injuries and was taken to Christchurch Hospital.

    The Serious Crash Unit attended the scene, and the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
