From the very moment Mr Californian cool, glided on stage last night at the Orangetheory arena, he had the crowd exactly where he wanted them.
It was typical Snoop Dogg, the glasses, the jumpsuit and the appropriate smoke signals, as he cruised his way through a range of his signature work, with tribute pieces and covers, including Katy Perry, 50 cent and the great Tupac.
The Dogg defied age, moving well and laughing with his audience before showering them in dollar bills near the end.
Christchurch will remember this for a long time, while Auckland get its turn tonight.
