Legendary Kiwi Bluesman Midge Marsden joins forces with veteran Dunedin band The Oxo Cubans and guitarist Chet O’Connell for "Burning Up The Blues #3".

The epic show, featuring the best of the blues, R&B, and rock, will be staged on Saturday, April 20, at Dunedin’s Mayfair Theatre.

The Burning Up The Blues concert series dates back to 2017, and has been hugely popular with audiences in Timaru and Dunedin.

In a career spanning four decades, Midge Marsden has played thousands of concerts to countless people, and has performed with a long list of top artists.

In 1990 he was voted New Zealand Entertainer of the Year and later his critically acclaimed album Burning Rain went gold.

Throughout his long career, Marsden has remained the number one rhythm and blues artist in New Zealand.

Special guest performer, master guitarist Chet O’Connell, will add an exciting layer of passion and skill to the performance.

"Burning Up The Blues #3" will be staged at Timaru’s Sail & Anchor on April 19, and at Dunedin’s Mayfair Theatre on April 20. Doors open at 6.30pm, and the show starts at 7.30pm.
