Otago back Maia Joseph has won rookie of the year at Matatū awards.
Joseph starred at halfback during Super Rugby Aupiki in her first season with Matatū.
Captain Alana Bremner was named players’ choice, while new recruit Kaipo Olsen-Baker, who came from the Hurricanes Poua, was named player of the year after a standout season for Matatū.
