Queen Sirikit starts today

Some of the world’s best amateur women are set to tee up at Clearwater Golf Club in Christchurch for the 44th Queen Sirikit Cup this week.

Fifteen of the top 200 women in the world amateur golf rankings, representing 12 countries and territories from the Asia-Pacific region, will play 72 holes from today until Saturday to find who will be crowned 2024 Queen Sirikit Cup champions.

The hosts come into the event in solid form. Eunseo Choi claimed her first national title last week at the New Zealand Stroke Play, and her team-mate, Amy Im, finished with the bronze medal. Vivian Lu has also returned from the US, where she has attending college for her fourth Queen Sirikit Cup.
