This year’s Warbirds Over Wanaka will be the final southern public outing for the RNZAF’s retiring C-130H (NZ) Hercules transport aircraft, pictured here at the show in 2014.

The RNZAF has been part of the airshow for 36 years.

Every current RNZAF aircraft type will be seen at this year’s show, subject to availability. Some will carry out flying displays, while others will be on static display for the public to get up close. Some will be working to provide transport support to the two-yearly event.

The Air Force Heritage Flight will also be in Wānaka, including a recently restored P-51 Mustang in its first public flying display.

The Warbirds Over Wānaka air show is held from Friday, March 29, to Sunday, March 31, at Wānaka Airport
