‘Wonky Donkey’ man finalist in children’s music awards

Queenstown author and musician Craig Smith has once again been named a finalist in the Ngā Manu Tīrairaka NZ Children’s Music Awards.

Mr Smith and Maia Amor-Smith are finalists in the APRA best children’s song primary category, for Stinky Wonky Donkey.

He previously won the APRA New Zealand children’s song of the year in 2008 for The Wonky Donkey, and again in 2018 for The Scariest Thing in the Garden.

Other finalists in his category this year are Michal Bush and Jeremy Dillon, for Beige, performed by Bush and Moe Steph Brown, and Fen Ikner, for Because, performed by Little Lips.

Winners will be announced at an invite-only ceremony at Spark Arena, Auckland, on May 5.
