A car caught fire in the Lindis Pass yesterday.
A Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency traffic camera in the Omarama-Lindis Pass Rd (State Highway 8) captured the burning car being extinguished by firefighters from the Omarama Volunteer Fire Brigade about 8.45am yesterday.
A police spokesman said the incident was not considered suspicious.
The driver was unhurt and the car was not blocking the road, the spokesman said.
