A Holden that caught fire was extinguished by volunteer firefighters near Portobello yesterday.
Chief Fire Officer Greg Dickson, of Portobello Volunteer Fire Station, said crews were called about 1pm.
When they arrived, they found a well-involved car fire which they extinguished. The car parked beside it was slightly damaged and the fire was not considered suspicious, CFO Dickson said.
