Firefighters were called out to a burning tractor in the Saddle Hill area this afternoon.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said Mosgiel Volunteer Fire Brigade was called about 4.30pm.
Although the tractor was "well-involved" in flame the fire was not suspicious, he said.
The fire took place on private property and took 50 minutes to extinguish.
