A man is in Dunedin Hospital in a "moderate-to-serious" condition after crashing his car in Forbury Rd this afternoon.
A police spokesman said the car crashed into a power pole near the intersection with Sussex St, about 3.40pm.
The road was not blocked.
The driver was taken to Dunedin Hospital by St John Ambulance.
