The Lyttelton Arts Festival will run from July 8-10 and feature more than 30 artists across eight locations.
Local artists will include Ben Brown presenting Ma Te Wa - A Moment in Time, columnist Joe Bennett reading eight of his favourite own poems, live music from Anthea de Milo and band, Buda with violinist Anita Clark, and Hollie Smith.
Buskers Sport Suzie and Minnie Maniac will also take to the streets.
There will be dance, theatre, toi principles and circus workshops on offer for anyone who wants to explore their artistic side.
On Saturday night, the Have a LAF Variety Show will showcase world-class performers presented by MC Shay Horay, guaranteeing a hilarious night of buskers, thespians, jokers, and acrobats.
Said Lyttelton Arts Festival co-director Bonnie Judkins: "The festival is the most amazing opportunity for me to do what I love, while showcasing the town I love.
"I’m extremely grateful to live in such a cool part of New Zealand and to be part of such a great team."
Skye Broberg is also a festival director and Darryl Cribb, of the Lyttelton Arts Factory, is also part of the team.
"Much has changed in the port over the past decade. It seems to have almost grown around the glaring gaps on its arterial London St," said Judkins.
"Both old favourites and newcomers will host this year’s line-up of performers. In a town full of history and old legends, there is always more to discover about this place."
Judkins said there will be something for everyone.
"If you’re looking for something to take the kids along to, Saturday provides daytime theatre shows at LAF, with ‘Superhero Circus’ from acclaimed Rollicking Entertainment, and ‘Mr Fungus’ from Fergus Aitkin, or on Sunday enjoy a ‘Heisenburger’ while you watch a family movie, screened thanks to Dead Video," she said.
