Student taken to hospital after assault at Oxford school

    A student was injured in an assault at a rural Canterbury school on Wednesday afternoon.

    Police and paramedics were called to Oxford Area School at 2pm following reports a student had been attacked by another student.

    The injured student was taken to Christchurch Hospital in a moderate condition.

    RNZ has approached Oxford Area School for comment.
