KFC Colombo Street in Sydenham and BP Connect Russley Road were put on the Ministry of Health website's locations of interest list at 4pm and 6pm on Thursday.
Anyone who visited the BP Connect at 661 Russley Rd, Harewood, between 6pm and 6.15pm on Sunday, November 28, or KFC at 258 Colombo St, Sydenham, between 4pm and 4.30pm on the same Sunday should self-monitor for Covid-19 symptoms for 10 days after the potential exposure.
"If symptoms develop, get a test and stay at home until you get a negative test result," the ministry says.
A Ministry of Health spokesperson said the locations of interest are linked to the travel of a case reported in the Nelson-Tasman region.
The case was tested in the region in the days following their travel to Christchurch.
"At this stage, public health officials are not expecting any further Christchurch locations of interest to be published in relation to the case's travel.
"We would like to thank the case for coming forward to be testing and assisting with contact tracing efforts," they said.
The last case announced in the city was a child isolating at home after travelling from Auckland to Christchurch on an Air New Zealand flight.
The child left managed isolation last week and travelled from Auckland to Christchurch on Air NZ flight NZ8475 on Thursday, November 25.
The child tested positive on their day 9 test while isolating at home with family.
Anyone considered a potential contact of Sunday’s case will be contacted directly by the ministry.
